Profile

Sarah Hobrough Landscape and Garden Design was formed in 2009 and works on private, domestic schemes, as well as on commercial projects. Our primary aim is to create stylish and practical outside spaces to the highest standard, ranging from the contemporary to the traditional and from small urban spaces, through traditional family gardens to large rural landscapes. We also work with architects and property developers providing specialist knowledge at planning and implementation stages.

We work closely with clients to ensure that we understand their desires, aspirations and needs for their garden and that these are translated into reality. We believe that external space is as important as the internal and we will ensure that the result provides the sort of additional external living space, that is required.

Sarah Hobrough spent a number of years as a Picture Dealer, where she developed a specialism in 18th and 19th century British art. Her art historical background, means that she can tackle not only contemporary garden design but undertake sympathetic historical projects. Having long had an interest in the History of Gardens and in how they are constructed, she undertook a Post-graduate Diploma in Garden Design at the Oxford College of Garden Design in 2007, followed by subsequent further specialist horticultural study at Capel Manor.

She is a Pre-Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers.
